Very Reverend Canon Thomas J. Skindeleski was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1945. He attended Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. Among his degrees are a Bachelors of Arts from St. Mary’s College (Orchard Lake, MI); a Masters in Secondary Educational Administration, from the University of Detroit; and a Masters of Divinity from St. Charles Seminary, Philadelphia. He was ordained on May 15th, 1971. Msgr. Tom’s past appointments have been as a chaplain, teacher and high school principal. His received his first pastorate in 1983; his second in 1990. In 1994, he transferred to the Diocese of Palm Beach. Here he served as Parochial Vicar at St. Joan of Arc in Boca Raton, the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens, and St. Luke in Palm Springs.
Just prior to coming to St. Vincent Ferrer, Msgr. Tom served as Pastor at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles in Royal Palm Beach beginning July of 2000. There he built a rectory, parish administration building, and a parish meeting facility. His tenure as Pastor of St. Vincent Ferrer began in November of 2005.
Msgr. Tom is a member of the Palm Beach Diocese Priest Personnel Committee and Member of the Advisory Board of the Guatemalan Tomorrow Fund. He also serves as the Florida State Chaplain, Diocesan Chaplain, and Parish Council Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus. He was named Honorary Canon of Radom Cathedral (Poland), June of 2007.
